Australian Vintage commits to the Respect in Drinks Charter

Company News | April 2025

At Australian Vintage, we pride ourselves on striving to achieve the highest standards of behaviour and conduct, while fostering an inclusive culture that respects everyone’s right to dignity, equality, and fair treatment.

We are proud to announce that we have signed the “Respect in Drinks Charter”, a commitment that goes beyond mere words—it is a pledge to action.

The charter is an initiative by the Drinks Association’s Embrace Diversity Council, aimed at making a positive impact on the wider industry by creating safer, more inclusive and respectful workplaces.

As a founding signatory, we pledge to –

  • Have zero tolerance for discrimination, bullying, harassment, or non-adherence to local laws and legislation.
  • Set clear expectations around professional behaviour and conduct, ensuring that every individual is treated with dignity and respect.
  • Ensure our workplace is one where everyone feels safe, valued, and empowered to thrive.

Beyond fostering a safe and inclusive internal culture, we also recognise the broader responsibility we have within the industry.

We encourage the responsible consumption of alcohol and are committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism.

“A respectful workplace isn’t just about policies—it’s about people,” says Jeff Howlett, COO, Australian Vintage.

“When we create an environment where everyone feels safe, valued, and empowered, we unlock their full potential. Ultimately, I want our industry to build a culture that people are proud to be part of—one that sets a standard so strong that others don’t just admire it, but strive to match it.”

To ensure accountability, we also provide clear and accessible whistleblower channels for reporting any concerns, ensuring that breaches of this commitment are addressed appropriately.

At Australian Vintage, respect is not just a principle—it’s the foundation of how we do business. By signing this charter, we reaffirm our ongoing responsibility to drive positive change across the industry.
