The NoLo pioneers prove themselves category leaders at the largest global awards for low and no-alcohol drinks

Sydney, July 2023: With multiple consumer favourite low and no-alcohol wine options, Australian Vintage has again bolstered its position as leaders in NoLo winemaking, after a successful IWSC awards.

Australian Vintage pillar brands include Tempus Two, McGuigan and Nepenthe, while it also owns the newly launched zero-alcohol but 100% fun Not Guilty range, aimed at Gen Z and Millennials.

The Tempus Two Lighten Up range saw multiple 91+ scoring wines, with the Pinot Noir awarded the Lighter Alcohol Trophy for 2023, the top prize in its category. Lighten Up re-launched earlier this year, with an easy-to-read ombre label clearly listing ABV and calories, for consumers looking to moderate.

The McGuigan Zero range also attracted 90+ points for five of its wines, including the Sparkling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay Rose, and Shiraz.

The nine Australian Vintage wines which received high scores at the 2023 IWSC include:

  • 2022 Tempus Two Lighten Up Pinot Noir – Trophy, 96 points
  • 2022 Tempus Two Lighten Up Prosecco – Silver, 91 points
  • McGuigan Zero Shiraz NV (0.5%) – Silver, 94 points

Australian Vintage Chief Winemaker Jamie Saint says, “For decades our team has worked to perfect our NoLo alcohol program and we’re thrilled to see the expertise recognised on the biggest global stage for this category.”

NoLo has been a growing trend we’ve seen accelerate over the past two years, which we will continue to invest in. Our Tempus Two, McGuigan Zero and recently launched Not Guilty are the perfect drop for consumers looking to cut back their alcohol intake, without compromising on taste – as the reviews testify,” Saint adds.

Australian Vintage’s range of no and low alcohol wines are available from major retailers and selected independent liquor retailers.
